Jagoda Szymanska (born in 1983) graduated from the Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan. In 2009 she received her diploma with honours in the Studio of Professor Piotr C. Kowalski. As a student she received the CEEPUS scholarship at Brno University of Technology, in the Czech Republic (Fakulta Výtvarných Umění, the Faculty of Fine Arts). She has participated in exhibitions and festivals, including the 2nd Youth Art Festival “Przeciag” (2009) and the 4th M. Michalik National Painting Contest for Young Artists in Czestochowa (2010). She received the First Prize of the Wielkopolskie Province Governor in the “9th Salon Wielkopolski” National Contest in Czarnkow. She lives in Poznan.
