Katarzyna Adamiak - Jaśnikowska

Born in 1985 in Legnica. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Wrocław. As an artist she mainly focuses in her works on man, often looking for inspiration in Renaissance paintings. Yet, the space depicted in her paintings does not represent a purely realistic convention. It is also a rich metaphorical world, filled with mystery and ambiguity that can be found within.

The other theme she likes to explore is landscape, emanating the tranquillity of empty space, almost entirely devoid of any form of existence. Only ever so often can forms be found there, hinting at something, as it were, organic or biological in character. She succeeded in creating her unique manner in representing space and perceiving the subject of the work, escaping the unambiguous label of a particular style. Finalist of painting competitions, often awarded. Her works can be found in private collections in Poland and abroad.
